3D Production Process for Television Commercial 
(the complexity and timeline varies for each project)
1st Week FINAL STORYBOARD - drawings are created as the blueprint for the action and dialog 
CHARACTER design & building of 3D Models
TRANSFER of Live action into computer for registration with Animation
TRANSFER of charts - Sound breakdown for Lip-synch and timing 
TRANSFER of animation charts into computer for timing 
For Client's Approval
2nd Week SCANNING & PROCESSING of line drawings into computer for preliminary combination with Live Action 
ANIMATIC - Static Drawings combined with Sound track to simulate idea of TVC
For Client's Approval
3rd Week 3D ANIMATION IN PROGRESS animators choreograph the motion in each scene by defining key frames or poses.
COMPUTER RENDERING in wireframe combined with Sound track to simulate idea of TVC (similar to LINE TEST in 2D Animation)

4th Week SHADING - surface characteristics, including textures, finishes and colors, are added to every object in the scene. These can simulate a wide variety of appearances, including wood, metal, fabric, glass, etc.
LIGHTING - using "digital lights," every scene is lit in much the same manner as stage lighting.

5th Week COMPUTER RENDERING- software "draws" the finished image by computing every pixel of the image from the model, animation, shading, and lighting information.

6th Week TRANSFER rendered, final images are transferred to Film, Video or CD-ROM
